JOB OVERVIEW:

Provides a warm welcome and fond farewell experience daily for all Residence Owners, their guests and vendors. Validates all guests and vendors have permission to be on property. Monitors and patrols assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guest and residents and employees and to minimize opportunities for loss or damage.  Anticipates potential problems and reacts to disturbances and prohibited conduct.  Responds to emergency situations as needed.  Provide information and assistance to all Owners, visitors, and vendors.

This Position requires to work a combination of AM & PM Shifts.

REPORTS TO: Security Manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

All areas of the Mansions building and surrounding property and Private Residential Units.

Job involves working:

  • Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).
  • Under variable noise levels.
  • Outdoors/indoors.
  • Running.
  • Extended periods of time spent patrolling the property.
  • Standing at a post for extended periods of time.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:                   Concierge, Management Office, Bell/Door, Service attendants, Transportation, Engineering.

 

External:                   Resident Owners/visitors, and Acqualina staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Criminal-free record
  • Computer basic arithmetic.
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
  • Provide legible communication, accurate and timely follow up, and follows directions precisely.
  • Ability to:
  • Perform job functions with impeccable attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Pro-actively display time management skills by daily demonstrating ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
  • Consistently work in an efficient and effective manner and display exceptional work ethic.
  • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment and excellent business sense.
  • Follow directions meticulously, completing all tasks with comprehensive follow through.
  • Accurately and effectively communicate, and provide consistent and reliable follow up.
  • Understand, anticipate and fulfill Owner’s service needs.
  • Work cohesively with a positive attitude, creating a constructive work environment with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Work and perform job functions with purpose, pro-actively organize tasks to work efficiently and with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality of owner information and pertinent property data.
  • Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.

 

Desirable:

  • Some college or training in Hospitality Industry.
  • Previous experience as Reception Agent, Security Officer or both.
  • Previous cashiering experience.
  • Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish/Russian/Portuguese.
  • Ability to suggestively sell.
  • Certification of previous training in computers.
  • Certification of previous training in alcohol awareness program.
  • Knowledge of local laws, investigative methods and fire safety
  • Certification in CPR and first aid.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Previous guest relations training.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Essential:
  1. 1. Frequent standing and walking throughout shift.
  2. 2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
  • Load and unload luggage from point of origin to destination.
  • Lift, transfer and store heavy objects up to 60 pounds
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  1. 1. Reach overhead and extension up to 30 inches complete tasks at different levels.
  2. 2. Remain in stationary position for up to 8 hours throughout work shift.
  3. 3. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
  4. 4. Ability to run up flights of stairs.
